2016 UMP Being Discussed by Jakarta Wage Board Today

After the delay meeting plan, Jakarta Wage Board is holding a meeting to discuss the 2016 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) today, Wednesday (10/28).

Head of Jakarta Transmigration Department, Priyono admitted the delay. Nevertheless, he did not explain any detail reason of delay. “We’re about holding the meeting today, he said, Wednesday (10/28).

Wage Board Set Jakarta KHL Amounted to Rp 2.9 M

 

According to him, to determine UMP amount, the three main important elements must present in the meeting discussion. “We're still waiting the meeting discussion result for exact amount,” he uttered.

 

The meeting is taking place at City Hall. The deadline of UMP determination falls on November 1. So, Jakarta Wage Board must submit the recommendation to Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama.

 

“I hope it could be determined today. Don't worry about it,” he uttered.

 

Separately, he has not ensured about entrepreneur sector expectation for UMP’s amount adjusted to the standard cost of living (KHL). However, the KHL’s amount has been set by Rp 2.98 million, which is increasing up to 14 percent from previous KHL.
